Financial Center Hosts World Council of Credit Unions Group from Latin America

Financial Center First Credit Union hosted 25 individuals from Latin American credit unions in conjunction with the World Council of Credit Unions on June 12, 2018. The stop in Indianapolis was one of a handful in the U.S. in which the group explored credit union growth strategies, safe-guarding member information, and financial product trends. The group also shared their opinions as to how U.S credit unions can better serve Latino citizens in the U.S.

Financial Center was chosen as one of the Indiana credit union hosts due to its Internal Advisory Council, its partnership with the Consul de Mexico in Indiana, and its focus on Latino outreach in Central Indiana. Financial Center spoke about its Empower Loan product, Wealth Builder Online financial education platform, cybersecurity, and building partnerships with Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSOs).
