ACH Validation
Please note that after March 9, 2022, any external loan payment users who have not added an Automatic Clearing House (ACH) account to their online payment portal will be required to complete a few extra steps to ensure their ACH account(s) is validated according to regulations. You will need your checking account number and financial institution’s routing number to pay using ACH.
What does the ACH validation process do? Creates a secure connection to login to an online banking platform and pay from checking or savings account at another institution.
Linking to that account is easy! Here's how:
- Accept the terms and conditions to pay from the account you are going to connect.
- Find your bank or credit union.
- If your bank or credit union does not appear in the search field, refer to the instructions for linking listed below.
- Enter your account credentials (username and password) at the other institution.
- Select your account you wish to link and save.
How to manually link an account
Begin by clicking "Manually Link Bank Account"
Link Bank Account
- Account Type: specify if targeting a checking or savings account
- Name on Account
- Enter 9 digit routing number
- Account Number
- Click "Link Account"
Payment Information
- Enter date for payment to be applied
- Select Account from drop down, this will auto populate the name on the account
- Enter payment amount
- Click "Next"
Verify Payment
- Agree to terms and conditions
- Submit payment

Did you know you can conveniently access your account number and routing number through Online & Mobile Banking?
- If using Mobile Banking, click on "view details" to view account information.
- If using Online Banking, select your checking account under the Deposit Accounts section and click on "Direct Deposit/Debit Information."
How does this new process benefit me?

My other institution is not listed in the options. Can I still make a payment?
Yes, if you are not seeing your other institution in the search results you will simply need to manually link your account to make a payment.
Do I have to go through this process every time I make a payment?
No, this process only needs to be followed the first time you use an outside account for payment.
Troubleshooting:
I received an error while trying to link my account. Now what?
Some institutions require additional authorization to access information. In these cases, you will need to login to your other financial institution and make the suggested changes and then retry the process.
I received the error "no open/active account exists for this LoginID" or "account status is closed on the bank website."
This error means that the account you are attempting to link is not an active account. Contact the other financial institution to ensure the account is open and or active.
I received an error that says to try again later. Now what?
Try 5-10 minutes later. If you receive the same error message, please try again in 24 hours.
