Scholarships for What's Next
from Financial Center
We believe that pursuing higher education is an investment in your future. That’s why Financial Center is awarding $9,000 in scholarships for the 2024 - 2025 academic year.
This summer, your credit union will award:
- One student a $5,000 scholarship
- One student a $2,500 scholarship
- One student a $1,500 scholarship
We encourage you to get started early by reviewing the guidelines below!
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a member of Financial Center or Ball State Financial and account must be in good standing.
- Must have a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be attending an accredited college or university with a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester for the 2024-2025 academic year. Applicant may be in an undergraduate program or in an associate’s degree program at a community college. Graduate students are not eligible.
- Financial Center employees, directors, committee members, other volunteers and their families are not eligible. Previous Financial Center scholarship winners are not eligible.
- The scholarship may not exceed the cost of education billed by the school.
Selection Criteria:
- Must join a Workshop or listen to two of our Carpe Dime podcasts.
- Must submit a two-minute YouTube video using the Workshop or two Carpe Dime podcasts answering: "What did you learn about personal finances? How did the Workshop or podcasts help prepare you for college and the future?"
How to submit your YouTube video:
- Upload your video essay to your YouTube channel. If you don't have a YouTube account, you'll need to create one. Make sure your video is not marked 'private'.
- Once uploaded, paste your video URL into the comments section of the form below.
