Financial Center’s volunteer Board of Directors donated $3,100 to The Sharing Place to help feed the hungry of Marion County this holiday season. The amount donated equates to $100 for each of the 31 volunteers that direct the Lawrence-based credit union.
“This year has been especially difficult for everyone in the communities we serve,” said John Keneipp, Financial Center’s Chairman of the Board. “That’s why our Board decided to provide additional support to The Sharing Place, an organization in our hometown that supports one of our community outreach pillars – feeding the hungry.”
The Sharing Place, a food assistance program of The Foundation for Lutheran Child and Family Services, provides free food and clothing to families and individuals of all ages in Marion County and is housed out of the MSD Lawrence Township building.
LTR: Financial Center Representatives, Mark Moulton, AVP of Executive Support, and John Keneipp, Chairman of the Board, present Sven Schumacher, CEO of the Foundation for Lutheran Child and Family Services, with a check for $3,100.
