Financial Center First Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of James Davidson to Vice President of Financial Wellness. In his new role, Davidson is responsible for the Credit Union’s health savings and workplace banking programs, member and community financial education programs, and managing university relationships.
Davidson’s thirteen-year tenure at Financial Center has gained him recognition as a trusted financial partner in the community. His commitment to teaching financial wellness has helped earn Financial Center 55 state and national credit union awards. Davidson is a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor and a former Indianapolis Public School educator.
“James’ passion for financial education has helped Financial Center transform from offering basic financial education to members when they make a purchase to living financial wellness as our brand. His guidance in this new role will be instrumental in helping us determine and deliver our next evolution for financial wellness,” states Dusty Simmons, Chief Strategy Officer.
A resident of Westfield, Davidson holds a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Ball State University. He has been awarded Financial Center’s President’s Award and was named a 2017 Credit Union Rockstar by CU Times. He regularly guest lectures at Ball State University’s Miller College of Business in the financial literacy series and hosts Financial Center’s podcast, Carpe Dime.
