Financial Center partnered with Wish TV for Gr8 Paper Push, a fundraiser and school supplies drive. All donations and school supplies benefitted Teachers’ Treasures, an organization dedicated to providing local teachers with school supplies to help students who are unable to afford needed classroom necessities.
The fundraiser was held from July 17 to August 7, and every Financial Center branch served as a donation hub to collect copy paper, notebooks, pencils, and more.
This year, Financial Center members, WISH TV Channel 8 viewers, and credit union employees came together to donate four bins of school supplies and $500 to the cause.
This year marks the fourth year that the credit union has sponsored and supported WISH TV’s Gr8 Paper Push.
“Each year, Indiana teachers are spending hundreds of dollars of their own many to provide school supplies to students who are unable to afford materials themselves,” said James Davidson, Financial Center’s Director of Financial Literacy and former IPS educator. “So many students and educators across the state are impacted by the resources that Teachers’ Treasures provides, and we are so thankful to be a part of that initiative.”
